How to Prepare for Your Notary Appointment
To ensure a quick and successful notarization, please ensure you have the following ready when your notary arrives:

Valid Photo ID
Every signer must present a current, unexpired physical government-issued photo ID. Acceptable forms include a Colorado driver's license, a U.S. passport, a military ID, or a permanent resident card. Digital IDs (like phone apps) cannot be accepted

The Complete Document
Please bring the entire document, not just the page requiring a signature. All blank spaces, fields, and questions must be filled in before the notary arrives. Do not leave anything blank.

Do Not Sign Yet
Keep the signature lines blank. The notary must physically watch you sign the document in person.

Bring Your Own Witnesses
If your document requires witnesses in addition to the notary, you must arrange for these individuals to be physically present at the appointment. They must also bring valid photo IDs.

Signer Awareness
The person signing the document must be fully awake, coherent, alert, and able to communicate directly with the notary without a translator.
